Pixel Solutions’ facial landmark detection technology is designed to identify facial features (i.e. eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth, etc.) and contours. The output of the detection generates the facial coordinate matrix. The facial coordinate matrix stores the coordinate points of different facial components extracted for different facial emotions. The coordinate matrix can be used to rotate the facial image, standardize the image size and subsequently perform facial recognition and analysis. Generally, the detection output includes 25 facial landmarks, which is robust against light, glasses and other interferences.
